Have you tried Jing yet? You’re going to love it if you’ve never recorded a video!

The other day when I was browsing around on the TechSmith site (Camtasia Studio and other software) I noticed something in the ‘Download’ section called ‘Jing Project’. Well curiosity got the better of me and I had to check it out. Boy am I glad I did!

If you’ve never heard of Jing, it’s a new free software created by Techsmith that completely automates the process of creating a video by just clicking a few buttons. Forget about all the techy skills needed to record, edit, save, upload, etc.

You simply download the FREE software, click one button to record, another button to save and the video is produced and uploaded automatically to TechSmith’s website ScreenCast.com. Once the video is uploaded, a link is provided to send to others to view.

This is a fantastic tool for teaching and helping others when you don’t want to have to record a full blown video and upload it to your server. I tested it out this morning with a client and it worked perfectly.
