You know I’ve been online now for almost 13 years and last year I had the most success I’d ever had in my life. I’ll admit some of it was luck and some of it was timing, but the fact that I had built so many relationships over the years is what was really key to that success.

As you look around online surfing, I’m sure you’ve seen the many advertisements for Fapturbo, it’s one of many automated forex trading robots or EA’s (Expert Advisors) being sold online and probably the most popular among traders worldwide.
The appeal is easy to see. BIG money in Foreign Currency Trading and with this ’set it and forget’ technology, you simply open a forex account with one of the many suggested brokers, download the trading platform, download the robot and with a few steps, presto, you are now trading 24/7 hands free. Very tempting indeed! Especially if you’re new to the internet and trying to make money.
While there is a lot of truth to how these robots operate, you still need to know a few things BEFORE diving in with both feet. First off, these robots need to run 24/7, meaning if you have the trading platform running on your own personal computer, it will have to be left on 24/7 and you’ll have to hope nothing goofs up and stops your trading. Of course we know better if we’re Windows users that at anytime our machines can crash, freeze, or update and reboot all on their own.
The solution around this is Virtual hosting accounts. These accounts allow you to upload everything you need on a virtual server that runs 24/7 and you remotely login from your own personal computer. Now you don’t have to worry about leaving your own computer on 24/7. For a monthly fee, you can trade 24/7 without worry. Next thing is just how ‘automated’ are the robots really? The ad copy makes it sound real simple doesn’t it? They aren’t bad, but you will have to do some learning and expect to put some time in to understand the difference in brokers, spreads, settings, etc. Lots of info in the forums to help you too.

I went full time online in December of 2007 and also relocated to Boise, ID after living in the Seattle area most of my adult life. I felt it was time for a change and I was so tired of the rainy and gloomy weather in Seattle. One summer in Boise and I was hooked!

I will admit I got a little lazy in the latter part of 2008. I played most of the summer and basically just took some time off from the internet and enjoyed life.
I’m just now getting back into the swing of things business wise online. I’m updating this blog and will begin posting again using both text and video as I had done in the past. I think the opportunities in 2009 are amazing and plentiful for us ‘passive income’ earners.
As usual I’ll be featuring the passive opportunities that I’m currently making money from and also include tips and techniques to help make your life easier when it comes to the ‘techy’ stuff like blogging and webpages.
I appreciate all of you that welcomed me back when I’ve sent out a few updates recently. I’ve missed our friendship and communications and will make myself fully accessable again by email and phone with updated info for my new Boise location.
I know with everything going on right now in the economy things look pretty bleak, but at the same time I think the opportunities for those that put in some work online will be many and very profitable. It’s time to change the way you think and realize that you can’t depend on anyone else to take care of you. You have to take care of yourself in this day and age and now is the time to get started if you haven’t yet.
Most of all don’t be hard on yourself if you’re having a tough time right now. We’ve all been put into a ’system by design’ and we are right where we’ve been manipulated to be.
I remember years ago standing in the backroom of Fred Meyer waiting to be checked in when I worked for Wonderbread. I was talking to my buddy Jim, a Miller beer driver, and asked him why he thought we were all in the same position. Working week in and week out barely paying all the bills. I asked him if he thought we were just all that stupid. How could we all be in the same place? It’s because we were raised from childhood to be part of a system. Educated with only enough skills to get a job, get in debt and become a paid wage slave to keep the corporate machine churning along. Once you obtain the ‘American Dream’ they’ve got you and you don’t even realize it.
